Full Text
The 6th Instant I discovered another new Comet under the Pleiades, towards the right Hand, between the Nu and Epsilon of the Constellation of Aries; it was scarcely to be seen with the naked Eye, but with the Help of a Telescope the Nucleus is brilliant, though not well terminated, surrounded by some Nebulosity, and with a Tail about two Degrees and a Half long, directed towards the Pleiades. Its apparent Movement is according to the Order of the Signs, and goes at the Rate of about one Degree ten Minutes right Ascension, and twenty six Minutes of north Declination every twenty four Hours. We cannot as yet be certain of its Approach to or Recess from the Earth, though it rather seems that it approaches towards us.
