The success of the new postal card is already assured as the Post Office department has received orders from business houses in all the large cities to furnish them by tens of thousands. It is understood that they will at first be extensively used as a cheap means of advertising. The number to be advertised for is fifty millions, with the privilege of increasing it to one hundred millions for the first year if the demand warrants it. The postal card is destined to be very popular with all classes and it is estimated that their use will be greater among the average class of letter writers than among the mercantile firms.
