Full Text

Five criminal prisoners, in the new jail of this city, one day last week, blackened their tongues, and otherwise so well counterfeited the common symptoms of the yellow fever, that, for fear of infecting the prison, they were conveyed, seemingly in a low state, to the hospital on Bush-Hill. Here, they took the first opportunity to make their escape, not however without first robbing the nurses of a considerable sum of money. One of these persons, we are told, is since retaken, and brought back to jail.
