nominated Memphis. Seeing that the sentiment of nearly every one is for Washington, I move that the ballot be declared formal and that the vote be made unanimous for Washington. This was seconded and passed. Resolutions were then introduced and passed thanking all the cities who had been so kind as to invite the Charities convention to visit them in 1901.
The time was not definitely settled, but it was recommended that the meeting be held earlier in the month than usual. The appointment of the time was left to be settled by the local committee.
The labors of the committee on time and place ceased on making their report to the Conference this morning.
