Full Text
A nolle prosequi being afterwards entered by the District Attorney, White was arraigned on Saturday week, on a charge of being an accessary after the fact, by sharing the money found on board that unfortunate vessel. He pleaded guilty, and was on Thursday set to the bar to receive sentence. He presented a petition to the court, praying that the punishment of three years imprisonment, and a fine of five hundred dollars, allowed by the law to be inflicted, might be mitigated; and, after some remarks by his counsel and the district attorney, he was sentenced to two year's imprisonment, and payment of a fine of one dollar.
