An Admirable Nomination.

We learn from the Cincinnati Enquirer that the Democrats of Campbell's district in Ohio, have met in convention and put in nomination for Congress the Hon. C. L. Vallandigham.

We cordially congratulate the Democracy of his district on their selection. Mr. V. is one of the rising statesmen in the great West, and bids fair to take a high position in the councils of his country. On the great and absorbing issue of the present campaign he is thoroughly posted; and will do noble service in the canvass. We earnestly trust that he may be elected. Besides having his success at heart as a personal friend, we desire that he may have a theatre in Congress for the display of that ability, eloquence and devotion to true principles, which has already within a contracted sphere, won him a distinguished reputation. Let his district send him to Congress, and we predict he will make his mark.--South Side (Petersburg, Va.) Democrat.
