The organizations participating in the conference are the WPA, Welfare Dept. of the UAW-CIO,
401 Hofmann Bldg., the CIO Industrial Union Council, the State County & Municipal Workers, and Briggs Local 212. Reports say up to 10,000 WPA workers are threatened with dismissal in Michigan Monday unless the orders are changed.
The union is registering strenuous protests against further cuts and is urging WPA to restore the jobs already taken from Michigan.
