Health of New Orleans.
New ORLEANS, Dec. 19th.-The cholera is again with us. There were 63 cases yesterday, and it is on the increase to-day. A young man, a native of your city, died on Sunday, in two hours after being taken. Poor fellow! He was to start in the afternoon for South America. His name was Frederick Anderson -Correspondence of the Public Ledger.
We do not know how to reconcile this statement with that made in the New Orleans papers, of the latest date, which assert that the health of the city is excellent, and that all reports to the contrary are erroneous. We find in one of the New Orleans journals the following report of the cases at the Charity Hospital: "The deaths at this establishment for the week ending December 16th, were 35. The number of inmates remaining in the hospital was 607. The health of the city continues good."-N Y. Express.
