BOSTON. May 2. Last Night arrived here his Majesty's Sloop the Hinchinbrook, Edmund Townley Commander, with Packets for the several Governments on this Continent, with very Important Advices; we can but give our Readers the following at present: That in the Harbour of Brest there lay a French Fleet of fourteen Ships of the Line, with eight Battalions on board; that Admiral Martin with 18 Men of War, eleven of them of the Line, was cruising off that Harbour to watch their Motions. That Six Thousand Ton of Shipping was taken up in England for transporting Men, &c. into America, and it is thought they are on their Passage, under the Convoy of three Men of War.
