A Fire at Mechanicsville Thursday night, at 9 o'clock, destroyed the entire property of L. B. Woolever, consisting of grist mill, oil mill, barn and out buildings. $3,000 worth of grain was burned: his loss estimated at $30,000.

Two dwellings and the woolen factory owned by Geo. Chapman also destroyed; Loss $5,000.

Thomas Butcher losses $2,000 in stock contained in the woolen mill. None of the losers have a dollar of insurance.

Fire originated in the oil mill and as wind was blowing a gale all efforts to check the flames were unavailing.
