NEW-YORK, April 15.

We learn from Philadelphia, that the following gentlemen, John Nicholson, Henry Drinker, Tench Coxe, Mark Wilcox and Tench Francis are appointed Commissioners by the Honorable the Executive Council of Pennsylvania, to open the roads from Easton and Bethlehem to the carrying place between the Delaware and Susquehanna, and to the mouth of Tioga, and that they have engaged Andrew Ellicott, Esquire, (late a Commissioner to run the New-York and Pennsylvania line) to lay out the same. The astronomical and mechanical knowledge, and the skill in surveying which that gentleman possesses, will probably render those roads as excellent as they are important.
