Mrs. Helen Hoffman of Bradley Street spent the week-end at the summer cottage of Mrs. Edwin C. Cleveland of Thompson.

William Stockdale of Farrows St was a visitor in New London Saturday.

Dr. and Mrs. William Gray were holiday and week-end visitors at Misquamicut, R. I.

Dr. and Mrs. Karl T. Phillips and family of Church Street are spending the month of July in Saybrook.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Burton of Walnut Street and Ray Pickett are spending a week in Portland, Me.

William Shann and his granddaughter, Miss Dorinne Ledger of Hudson, Mass., formerly of Putnam, visited in town last week.

Mr. and Mrs. John Orcutt of Boston were week-end guests of Mrs. Orcutt's mother, Mrs. Philip Knapp of Grove Street.

Miss Bernadine O'Gorman, a teacher at the Israel Putnam School, plans to study this summer at a music conservatory in Cambridge, Mass.

Mrs. Edward M. Trevena and daughter Jeanne of Farrows Street left Tuesday to spend the month of July at Bluff Point, Groton.

The memorial flowers at the Union service Sunday at the Congregational Church were given by Mr. and Mrs. Subbo Nikoloff of "Rockcrest," Pomfret Road.

Gordon Winslow of Sunnyside Avenue spent the week-end in Siasconsett, Mass., with Mrs. Winslow and Mr. and Mrs. Salvas.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon N. Walker and Miss Thyra Walker of Grove Street have returned from Louisville, Ky., where they visited Mrs. Walker's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cogswell.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Foster and son James returned on Tuesday to their home in Ohio after a visit with Mrs. Carrie B. Gascoigne of South Main Street.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wheaton of Bradley Street and son George spent Monday with Mrs. George L. Bradley and family at her cottage at Misquamicut, R. I.

Mrs. Dwight Sharpe of School St. has returned to her home after a visit with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Sharpe of Stamford.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Clouthier of Worcester were visitors Sunday at the home of Mrs. Clouthier's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ulric St. Marie of Woodstock Avenue.

Mrs. James B. Tatem Jr. of Center Street and Mrs. Jane Oliver of Grove Street were visitors Wednesday at Watch Hill and Misquamicut, R. I., and in Noank.

Mr. and Mrs. Timothy P. Hannifan Jr., and daughter Mary of Worcester, formerly of Putnam, spent the holiday week-end with Mr. Hannifan's father, Timothy P. Hannifan Sr. of South Main Street.

Mrs. Albina Beaucage of St. Louis, Que., arrived from Canada last week for a visit of several weeks with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Gagnon of Main Street, and relatives in Woonsocket, R. I.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Gagnon, daughter Lorna Kay and son Earl Wood of South Main Street were visitors Sunday in Franklin, Mass., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Bowan.

Mr. and Mrs. Carolus Tourtellotte and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Tourtellotte of Bradley Street and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cody were guests Saturday at the wedding of Miss Barbara Barker and William E. Shann in Hudson, Mass.

The Rev. and Mrs. Erastus H. Green of Grove Street were in West Newton, Mass., Sunday and attended church services at the Second Church. Dr. Boynton Merrill, formerly of Putnam, is minister of the West Newton Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson and son Roscoe Jr., of South Woodstock, who are en route to Reno, Nev., where they will visit Mrs. Stevenson's parents, are planning to stop in Des Moines, Iowa, to visit Yellowstone National Park and in California.
