This morning on Rio Grande No. 3, John L. Eddy, managing editor of the Boston American, who has been the guest of his old time friend, R. E. Turpin, in this valley for the past four days, left for the coast. Mr. Eddy takes with him a most favorable impression of the city and the valley, in fact he is most enthusiastic over this section. Mr. Eddy is on his vacation tour and will visit coast cities and the Alaskan-Yukon exposition before returning east. During his visit here the gentleman favored The Sentinel with several very pleasant calls. Mr. Eddy declared that not many cities of 10,000 population in the country have such a complete and modern newspaper plant and office building as that of The Daily Sentinel and he had many good things to say of the Sentinel as a newspaper.
