The Drum Point Railroad.

Several sections of the B. & D. P. Railroad have been contracted for near Mt. Zion, Anne Arundel county. As far as known no decision has yet been definitely reached in regard to the ultimate selection of the route from Federal Oaks to Mt. Zion. From what can be learned from those who know, the outlook is unfavorable for the Cabin Branch route, it being a mile further and quite rough in many of its sections. If, however, other inducements can be offered which will counterbalance the difference in cost and maintenance this route may be graded after all. Grading is progressing all along the line.
