Venturini Arrested in Italy on Charge Made by 11-Year-Old Daughter of a Friend.
LONDON, July 16.-The Milan correspondent of the Chronicle says that Venturini, the well-known bass singer, who has just returned to Milan from the season at Covent Garden, London, has been arrested on the charge of assaulting the eleven-year-old daughter of one of his friends. Bail was refused.
Venturini, who protests his innocence, is very popular with the Milanese public, whose applause he has often enjoyed at La Scala.
