We insert the communication of our Cheshire correspondent, verbatim, et literatim, et punctuatim. He has requested us to correct errors; but this is imposing rather too much of a task. His request reminds us of an anecdote of Pope, who was said to be much deformed in his person, and to resemble a note of interrogation. A favorite expression of his, in all cases of surprise or sudden excitement, was, "God mend me." One day, stumbling over something in the street, and falling, he exclaimed, as usual, "God mend me!" A bystander remarked, "He could better make two, than mend such a thing as you are."

I understands that at the next setting of our legislature they are agoing to tri to git a nu county about as big and snug as your county merimac and i hope the honerabel legislater will be so good as to let us hav one becoz it is such a deel of fus to git to where all our officers lives. i for one hav bin at a good deal of trubble for bout fore months ago i had a bruther die with the biliyard feaver and i wanted to git a letter of Admistration and i had to goe all the way cleer down to keen down to Judg dinsmours to git it: which froin where i lives is all of Sixty milds. it was in Hatime and i hated most plaguly to go and leave my work but if i dident: i knew one of my naburs mistur gim snoton who had a note aginst him for the jonsan pastur woud go and thats not what we wanted. it took me too days to git down to kean and most all next da to do my bizness and two days to git home which maid in all the whole five days and cost me one doler and aty fore sents for my expenses. now sir if we had a new county round hare i coud hav did it all in a day.
