WASHINGTON, D C (SNS)

Announcement of a second special program designed to increase production of essential items of infants' and childrens' wearing apparel was made this week by the War Production Board.

The program announced will make available approximately 2,000 dozen garments calls for the production during June, July and August of some forty-five items of essential clothing, including Infants creepers, gowns, dresses, panties, children's pajamas, sunsuits, coveralls, girls' blouses and dresses, boys' wash suits, underwear, overalls, shirts and blouses. All items are to be manufactured from woven cotton fabrics.

Stipulation is made of the type and minimum amount of materials to be used in each item, as well as the maximum price range per item. It was pointed out, however, that while maximum prices are listed for each item, manufacturers cannot exceed ceiling prices established by the Office of Price Administration.
