GOLF EQUAL RIGHTS SUITS FILED IN MIAMI AND FORT LAUDERDALE

MIAMI - (INS) - Suits seeking equal rights for Negroes on the Miami Springs and Fort Lauderdale Golf courses were filed Friday by two groups of Negroes in federal court in Miami.

Both the Miami Springs and Fort Lauderdale courses are city owned.

The Miami suit names city manager Arthur Evans, course superintendent Woody Laughinghouse and welfare director Pete Roberts as defendants.

The Fort Lauderdale course names the five city commissioners as defendants.
