Madam Restell again in Prison.—This infamous woman was again arrested yesterday, on a warrant issued by the Coroner, under the following grave charges, which, it is hoped, for the sake of humanity, she will not manage to avoid by technical objections. A young girl, named Ann Eliza Monson, a native of New Haven, Conn. having been seduced by a person named John Frazer, of Plainfield, Conn. was induced to come to this city in December last, and place herself in the care of Mrs. Restell. The consequences were that her constitution was so much shattered she sank gradually but surely, and was sent to a house, No. 18 Oliver street, kept by some other notorious female, calling herself a physician, but where she received regular medical attendance.

Nothing however succeeded in restoring her, and on Sunday afternoon, as it was evident that she was near her end, the Coroner was sent for, and summoning a jury, he proceeded to hold an ante-mortem examination, on which occasion the unfortunate victim gave her testimony with clearness and distinctness. The Coroner sent a subpoena for Mrs. Restell, but she hearing her victim was near her end, and thinking that she might avoid being detected if she could manage to stay away a few hours, refused to obey the subpoena, and left the house. Officers Brown and Ruckle, however, were despatched after her, and after a long hunt, they succeeded in finding her in a house in Varick street, near Spring street, about two o'clock in the morning. She was at once brought to the house where the dying girl lay, and was introduced into the room, in company with two other females, (inmates of the house,) who were dressed very similarly to herself, and the unfortunate girl being requested to see if she could identify the person who had performed the operation, at once and without hesitation, singled out Mad. Restell. She soon after expired, and her body was taken to the dead house in the Park, where a post mortem examination was held.

The Jury having only the ante-mortem testimony, declared their inability to render a verdict without further evidence, whereupon they were discharged, and a new Jury will be summoned to-day, to whom all the evidences will be submitted, and we doubt not, from the state of facts which are in possession of the Coroner, that such a verdict will be rendered as will render Mrs. Restell amenable to a most serious charge.

Mrs. Restell was committed to prison to await the result of the Coroner's verdict.
