Full Text
I WAS present yesterday at the complaints of a patient, whose physician attributed them all to TEA: and added, that few persons ought to drink TEA after the age of forty; few at any age. A weak stomach, trembling limbs, giddy head, relaxed nerves, miserable low spirits, want of appetite, and universal languor. What a train of evils do arise from so paltry an indulgence.
Is it not strange, Sir, that we cannot imitate our rational neighbours of the North? At Upsal they drink a TEA of select-herbs of their own growth; and there is scarce a weak man or a man of weak nerves among them.

Main Argument
tea consumption leads to numerous health problems such as weak stomach, trembling limbs, and low spirits, and should be avoided especially after age 40; people should instead adopt the herbal tea drinking habit of uppsala residents for better health.
