Tax Collectors.
The Wilmington Republican intimates that the St. Georges hundred tax collector is hard to find. We have heard no complaints of the kind here. We of Middletown have never felt that we wanted a tax collector that we could not go out and put our hands on one; in fact, we have frequently been able to 'find two, even when it was not a very good day for tax collectors. Some of us have probably found tax collectors when we were not hunting for them, and we have never yet found it necessary to weep because of their absence.—Transcript.
