Greeted by an audience of splendid size, enthusiastic and attentive Stanley D. Kirton, young recent graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music with the degree of Mus B, appeared in pianoforte recital last Sunday afternoon at New England Mutual Hall.
In the audience were many prominent music teachers and others of high musical understanding whose hearty applause bespoke their appreciation of the artist's superb interpretation and brilliant technique. Mr. Miguel F. Gomez, Jr. whose composition was a number on the program was presented and shared in the applause.

The program listed several hundred patrons and also briefly sketched young Kirton's educational background in this country where he was born and also in Barbados. BWI, the home of his parents where he spent several of his formative years, and told of the continuance of his education in this country, having been graduated from the English High School and then enrolled in the Conservatory where besides piano he also took special studies in organ. His Mus B was won as a soloist. The recital of Sunday revealed him as having acquired a high degree of proficiency in his art but also indicated the further laurels he will undoubtedly win in the musical world. St Clair Kirton, the poet, who also adds music to his artistic attainments, was the efficient manager of his son's very successful recital.
