N. C. Mountains On TV Programs

North Carolina's Blue Ridge and Great Smoky mountains are going on TV again this year with the John Cameron Swayzes, who toured them and also reduced their observations and recommendations to maps and descriptions in an attractive travel guide issued by the Fram Corporation, and which will be nationally advertised.

The commentary will be in the 20-program series on Dave Garroway's "Today" program, NBC-TV, from March until October. Tours in all parts of the United States will be featured. The North Carolina portion takes in three days and two nights, both spent in the vicinity of Cherokee.

The itinerary is over the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Virginia line to Asheville, to the Great Smokies, the Cherokee drama, and Lake Hiwassee.
