Clinton Goes For Field.

Charles Clinton, Auditor, has brought suit in the Fifth District Court against A. P. Field for libel.

If it be remembered, not long ago, Attorney General A. P. Field in the Superior District Court enjoined Clinton, as Auditor, from auditing or warranting the claims authorized by Act 59 of the last Legislature. Attorney General Field brought Clinton repeatedly into court on rules for contempt. Clinton claims that in this Mr. Field was guilty of malfeasance in office. The damages sued for are $5000.

Doubtless rich developments will grow out of this case.
