KINGSTON. in Jamaica, March 16.

A General-Court-Martial was held at Kingston in Jamaica on the 3d of January last, composed of the following Officers. viz. Major Fleming, President, Bannerman, Caldwell, Hampton, Woodcock, Robinson, Brown, and Vaughan, all of the 36th Regiment, and Schaw, Smith, Gorry, Coates, and Catherwood, of the 66th Regiment; for the Trial of Capt. Algernon Warren of the 66th, on the Allegations of Lieut. Col. Musgrave, 1st. Disobedience of Orders, 2d, Issuing Commands to prejudice of service where he had no Right, 3d. Marching his Company into Kingston ill provided for an immediate Embarkation, 4th. For Neglect of Duty: and after proper Hearings the Court most honorably acquitted the said Warren, being unanimously of Opinion the Subject Matter of his Arrest was groundless.

This Sentence was confirmed and approved of by his Excellency Governor Lyttelton.
