We are informed that a Cause of a very singular Nature is coming on to be tried in the Superiour Court of New-Jersey. wherein a young woman is Plaintiff, and a Gentleman of Fortune Defendant ; for Breach of a Promise of Marriage made in Writing to the Plaintiff by the Defendant, in the Life Time of his Wife. since deceased, to be contracted with the Plaintiff after the Death of the Wife, provided she would continue in her single State. until such Contingency might happen: Which the Plaintiff in her Declaration sets forth she hath done, pursuant to, and in Virtue of the Defendant's Promise and Assumption as aforesaid : and by Reason thereof hath lost her Marriage. The Action is laid for 3000 Proc. Money
