INSPECTION OF LIVESTOCK WILL BEGIN SHORTLY
Dr. Robert Jay, U. S. Veterinarian, Arrives to Inspect Alaska Dairy Herds.

To make the annual livestock and dairy inspection for the Territory, Dr. Robert Jay, veterinarian for the U. S. Bureau of Animal Industry, arrived here yesterday from his home at Sacramento, Cal. He was accompanied here by Mrs. Jay.

Dr. Jay will cover virtually all of the Territory. The inspection is made under Territorial laws and its expenses are paid out of Territorial funds. This work has been carried on for several years. For the past four or five years, Dr. G. W. Trubey, also of Sacramento, has conducted the inspections.

Dr. Jay was conferring today with Gov. George A. Parks and Secretary Theile relative to the work. His itinerary had not been definitely made early today.
