Square Dance, Stew, Bazaar Feature
Curdsville Grange Festival Oct. 8

The Curdsville Grange will stage a Fall Festival, complete with Brunswick Stew, bazaar and square dance, Oct. 8 at the Curdsville Community Center to raise funds for repairing of the new center and making it more usable, according to Grange officials.

Feature attraction of the evening, which begins at 6:30 p.m. with the stew, is the 9 p.m. square dance. Bill and Mary Reid, local radio and TV stars, will provide the music and Ed McCraw will call the figures.

The bazaar will offer jams, relishes, sweet meats and articles hand-made by Grange members and friends in the community.

The stew menu consists of a pint of stew, bread, butter and coffee with half-pint containers for children at a nominal cost.

Mrs. E. E. Pollard is in charge of the stew assisted by Mrs. Cleveland Jones and Mrs. George Elcan. Mrs. Wallace Rainey and Mrs. Dalla Rainey are in charge of the bazaar. Will Chappell and Ed McGraw make up the dance committee. Miss Edna Smith will do the decorating.
