President Endorses Opponent of the Former Speaker.
Washington, Oct. 26.-President Wilson today joined in the fight against the election of the house former speaker J. G. Cannon of Illinois, by writing a letter endorsing Representative Frank L. O'Hair, of Illinois, who defeated Mr. Cannon at the last election. Mr. Wilson practically completed his letter writing campaign today, sending endorsements to democratic candidates in a number of states. He has been assured by the campaign managers that the elections will result in democratic majorities in the senate and house, but will continue to work as much as possible for particular candidates.
In addition to the democratic senatorial candidates whom the president has emphatically endorsed, he is giving his support to George A. Neeley in Kansas.
