Extra-Point Kick
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Ray Nagel, University of Utah's new football coach, thinks the extra point kick will be more popular despite the new rule giving two points for a conversion on a run or pass.
"A lot of coaches are figuring they will go for the two points every time, but I don't think the figures will prove this feasible once they start figuring the percentages," he says.
"It's hard to run the ball over down close, and while a lot of little passes are completed now and then off the kick formation, it won't be that easy when the defense expects a pass."
