TWO LADIES STRUCK BY LIGHTNING—ONE OF THEM KILLED.—The Council Bluffs Nonpareil says: "On last Thursday Mrs. Whisman and Mrs. Longwell, of Cuming City, went to visit a family by the name of Darling, who reside about one mile from Cuming. In the evening the two ladies started for home. Shortly after leaving the house of Mr. Darling, both ladies were struck by lightning, Mrs. Whisman being instantly killed, and Mrs. Longwell knocked senseless. Some persons happening to travel along the road discovered both ladies, and immediately adopted measures to bring them to life. It was found that Mrs. Whisman had been killed instantaneously, but restoratives being applied to Mrs. Longwell she recovered and was taken to her home, and is now doing well.
