IMPORTANT CANAL:

The State of Pennsylvania has appointed three Commissioners to attend the General Assembly of the State of Delaware, to obtain the permission of that State, upon proper principles, to have a sea canal cut between the bays of Delaware and Chesapeake: and these commissioners have proceeded on the business.

The united energies of Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware, appear now to be in operation to effect an object so long contemplated and wished for. The fund for the purpose to be raised in Pennsylvania is fixed at 500,000 dollars.
