French Women Mother American Doughboys

WITH THE AMERICAN ARMY ON THE SEDAN FRONT, Tuesday, Nov. 12.—American doughboys are being mothered by the older French women behind the lines. These women, the mothers of French soldiers, almost break down with joy when they meet American soldiers and embrace them and give them a welcome to their homes as they would their own sons who are still at the front. The celebration of the cessation of hostilities is still continuing in the villages in this sector.
