Contributions To Campaign For Funds Coming In Slowly--Lack Of Troop Leadership Will Also Be Discussed At Session.
The regular quarterly meeting of District B, Boy Scouts of America, will be held at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday in the Community Room of the Putnam Savings Bank.
Matters of considerable importance will be discussed affecting the welfare and promotion of Scouting in this area.
All troop committees will report on the Roll Call and inventory now being conducted by District Commissioner William Smedley.
The special committee on finance will report on the drive now being conducted to raise funds to help carry on the work in the district. Returns to date, although slowly coming in, are gratifying.
Leadership for Troops is also a topic of discussion as one Troop is now without a Scoutmaster. This condition, due to the war, is to be regretted. Scouting, or the training of youth in the fine precepts of the Scout oath and laws, is a responsibility of every citizen who considers the future leadership of this country.
