CHS Student Wins
Betty Crocker Award

Jeanette Mary Hardy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hardy, 2210 West 120th street, Blue Island, is Community High School's Homemaker of Tomorrow.

Jeanette won the award recently in competition with 18 other homemaking students at Community High. The group took the very exhaustive test sent out by the Betty Crocker division of General Mills, who promote the selection of a "Homemaker of Tomorrow" in high schools throughout the country.

Jeanette's prizes were a beautiful pin and a personal letter of congratulations from Betty Crocker. Her examination paper will also be entered in the state "Homemaker of Tomorrow" contest, the winner of which will receive a college scholarship worth $1,500, and all expense to Washington, D. C. and its surroundings. State winners can also compete for a nation-wide prize of a $5,000 scholarship.
