Miss Tagg Lauded For Scholarship
Commendation for Eliza Beth Tagg's "excellence in scholarship," which enabled her to tie with several other entrants in this phase of competition, was expressed in a letter received today by C. B. Collins, county superintendent of schools, from James G. Force, who holds a similar position in Monterey county.
Miss Tagg was Imperial county's representative at the recent rodeo in Salinas, in which girls from all sections of the state competed for "all 'round supremacy." Scholarship formed one of the principal points of competition, Superintendent Force stated, and Miss Tagg stood exceptionally high.
"Imperial county is to be congratulated for the splendid type of girl which represented it in this state-wide competition," Force stated.
