Our cotemporary of the Mobile Advertiser and Register seems to be in earnest on the subject of registration. He says:
"The apathy in registering betokens a species of madness. If the people do not come up and register, twelve months will develop the fairest example of a political and social hell on earth, that this world has ever seen. Let every man hasten to free himself from self-reproach, and, when the evil time comes, be able to say to the old men and the women and children of the land, 'thou canst not say I did it!' "
Are you in favor of the convention? Register. If you do not, convention may be defeated.
Do you oppose the convention? Register, or your opposition will be of no value beyond the mere wind of talk.
