HORROR IN KANSAS

[By Associated Press.]

Coffeyville, Kans., Jan. 19.-

The roof of a public school building here collapsed today, killing one person, injuring three others and causing a panic among the children.

Workmen were repairing the roof when it dropped, and four of the men were hurled 40 feet. One was probably fatally hurt and the others were more or less seriously hurt.

The lives of many school children were probably saved when, in perfect fire drill, 3500 of the pupils marched from the rooms in safety. Not one of them was hurt.
