London, September 30.-The American Red Cross warehouses in Ireland contain enough stores to completely outfit 6000 American soldiers. at one time. should that number lose equipment through the torpedoing of ships. it was announced officially today. In addition to the warehouses operated by the Red Cross in Ireland, seven are operated in England. These latter warehouses contain such stores as will meet the immediate requirements of soldiers arriving at English ports. Here is what the American soldiers and sailors arriving during a recent month at English ports received from the American Red Cross: 30,000 sweaters, 30,000 tooth brushes. 50,000 pairs of socks, 32,000 pounds of soap. 300,000 boxes of matches, 800 baseball outfits. 500 mouth organs, 144,000 packages of chewing gum, and 5,000,000 cigarettes.
