What is this article about?
Frank A. Metcalf writes to the Editor of the Daily Alaska Empire to correct the Juneau Mayor's statement from September 23, clarifying that the new gridiron in the small boat harbor was not a city administration achievement but resulted from a Fishermen's Union request to the Territorial Board of Road Commissioners, funded by motor fuel tax.

Editor, Daily Alaska Empire: For the sake of accuracy I wish to correct a statement of the Mayor of Juneau appearing in your issue of September 23. Among the achievements that he has listed of the present city administration is the new gridiron in the small boat harbor, the longest on the Pacific Coast. As a matter of fact this accommodation to the fishing and pleasure craft of the community was the result of a direct request from the Fishermen's Union to the Territorial Board of Road Commissioners, and made possible through the funds derived from the Motor Fuel tax which is administered by the Territorial Highway Engineer.
Very Truly Yours,
(Signed)

Main Argument
the new gridiron in juneau's small boat harbor, claimed as a city administration achievement by the mayor, was actually initiated by a fishermen's union request to the territorial board of road commissioners and funded by motor fuel tax administered by the territorial highway engineer.
