Full Text

ABOLITIONISM.—The underground railroad is at present in active operation, and we are not at all surprised at it, for there are hundreds of free negroes in our city at this present time who are here contrary to law; besides, there is what is termed a Northern African Church organized in this city, in which, we are credibly informed, a very violent Abolition harangue was delivered a few evenings since. Owners of slaves must expect trouble—when an organization of the fanatical Northern men is in existence in our very midst.—St. Louis Reveille.
