Although it is neither expedient or practicable to comply with his Majesty's former requisition here, from the situation and circumstances this province is in, yet the Hon. Commons House of Assembly yesterday voted the sum of 10,500 l. to be applied in such manner as his excellency the Governor shall think proper, towards raising the quota of recruits (268 men) demanded for compleating the British regiments in America.

The General assembly have resolved to continue two of the four companies of rangers for three months longer; and to provide for repairing or rebuilding fort Moore.
