SPEAKERS WHO ARE TO TAKE STUMP IN VERMONT
Men of National Reputation in State Campaign
SENATOR BORAH OF IDAHO
Senator Dolliver of Iowa, Congressman Landis of Indiana and Other Spellbinders Expected.
Newport, Aug. 18.—Chairman Williams of the Republican State committee has been informed by Chairman Hitchcock of the national committee that Senator Borah of Idaho will be in Vermont for campaign work beginning the week of August 25. There is also some expectation that Senator Dolliver of Iowa and Congressman Landis of Indiana will come to Vermont for a limited number of speeches the same week. Congressman Landis is not unknown to Vermont audiences as he has filled lecture engagements in some of the larger places. He ranks as one of the best stump speakers in the country and if he comes a treat is assured. Another outside speaker assured soon is the Rev. Dr. John W. Hill of Connecticut. Additional rally dates published by the committee are as follows: August 21, at Vergennes, Z. S. Stanton and Warren Austin: August 21, at Waterville, R. W. Hulburd and C. H. Royce.
