THE SECOND CHAPTER OF IT.—Our readers will remember that we gave on Wednesday last an account of the arrest of four fellows for stealing a skiff and the clothing of their comrade, at whose instance the arrest was made, and their commitment to the county jail in default of bail. We heard yesterday the second chapter of the transaction. It appears that these fellows were put off of the cars of the Cleveland & Pittsburgh railroad at Jeddo, on Monday last, for non-payment of fare. They footed it to Brown's Island, where after prowling round they found the house of Mr. James Cooper, without any person being at home, and forced an entrance into it, by way of the cellar. They robbed the house of all the clothing they could find, two pocketbooks, containing notes and papers and some jewelry. They went down to the river bank and exchanged their own worn-out wardrobe for the clothing they had stolen, and made off. In their flight they dropped a box of matches similar to those they brought here, and this led to their identification. They had some of the clothing they had stolen on their bodies in jail yesterday.
