What is this article about?
Cool Spring Reservoir basins hold sufficient water for several days despite potential Worthington pump failure at City Mill station. The pump is operating but not filling compartments fully. A possible but improbable water famine could occur if it breaks badly. The new water wheel faces its final trial today with Mr. Geyeline of R. D. Woods & Sons present.

SHOULD BREAK!—THE BUG-A-BOO
OF THE NEW WATER WHEEL.
This morning the north basin of the
Cool Spring Reservoir contained 15 feet
of water and the south basin ten feet.
This would be sufficient alone to sup-
ply the city for several days, even if
the pumping machinery at the City
Mill station was to break. The Worth-
ington pump is forcing the water into
the basin, but as yet has not been able
to get the compartments full. How-
ever, if this pump should break so badly
as to cause a stoppage for several
days there might be such a thing as a
water famine, which is only possible
and not probable.
The new water wheel at the City
mill station is still unable to meet the
demands of the contract and it is to be
given its last trial to-day. Mr. Geye-
line, of the firm of R. D. Woods & Sons
who put the pump in will be here this
forenoon with assistants and the final
trial of the wheel will then be made.
