Oil Executive Welcomes Probe
HOUSTON. Sept. 7-(UP)-B. F. Fallon, vice president of the Eastern States Petroleum Company. Inc., today invited a federal investigation of his firm on charges of violating the anti-dumping law in processing Mexican crude oil.
Fallon made the statement in answer to allegations in a letter to Secretary of Treasury Henry Morgenthau Jr. by Russel B. Brown general counsel for the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Brown requested the Eastern States investigation.
Fallon said that operations of his company already have been investigated by federal agents in connection with complaints that it was dumping Mexican oil on the American market, and have been "given a clean bill of health."
Eastern States operates a refinery here and processes crude oil from the Mexican government's own wells in Poza Rica and not from wells of expropriated oil properties in Mexico. Fallon said.
