ECONOMY AND SAGACITY.

By the Official Report of the Postmaster General it appears that the expenses of his office, have exceeded its receipts during the last year, upwards of $50,000. Here is economy for you!

By the official Report of the Secretary of the Treasury, it appears that the expenditures of the Government have exceeded the income, nearly half a million of dollars; the first time, we believe, that such a circumstance has happened, since the Peace of 1815! Here is more economy for you!

By the same official Report, it appears that the expenditures of the government the last year, exceed the estimates of the Secretary of the Treasury, in his Annual Report of 1829, nearly one million and a half of dollars! Here is sagacity for you.
