United on National Affairs but Not on State.
Columbus, O., June 2.—The indications to-night are that the republican state convention here to-morrow and Thursday will not be such a harmonious ratification meeting as was expected. While there will be no opposition to the endorsement of President Roosevelt, Senator Hanna and others and no difference on national issues, there are differences of opinion on state questions and very animated contests for places on the state ticket, except for governor, auditor of state, attorney general and member of the board of public works.
Senators Hanna and Foraker and all other republican leaders arrived during the evening and all the workers and candidates are here to-night.
