ELECTION EXPENSES.

Editor Bulletin:

Since the Legislature has been convened the various election committees are anxiously looking to see some member introduce an appropriation bill to pay for the expenses of the late election.

Is it not time the Legislature made the appropriation? Or, since the members are elected, perhaps they have forgotten all about it. The inspectors have not, especially the chairmen, who in nearly every case are out of pocket for a more or less sum.

If an appropriation is not made, it reflects much credit on the Hawaiian Government to have it go abroad that the legitimate election expenses cannot be met.
