Full Text

God's Greatness And Power.-Art has its lessons-painting, sculpture, architecture. Can those who see so much to admire in works of human genius, remain unmoved amid the works of God? His rough sculpture on the mountains, the delicate tracery of His fingers on the flowers -how august and sublime the one; how chaste and beautiful the other? The strength of the hills is His; He watereth them from His chambers. He sendeth the springs into the valleys. He stretched out the heavens like a curtain. He layeth the beams of His chambers in the waters; He maketh the clouds His chariots, and walketh upon the wings of the wind; He maketh His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. How manifold are Thy works, in wisdom hast Thou made them all.
